What does KISS think of Kaepernick’s refusal to stand for the national anthem?
When the band KISS first gained popularity many years ago, they were looked at by many as gender-bending degenerate weirdos. They have been on the scene for so long now, that much of that perception has long since faded away. The band has become one of the most iconic, enduring, and entertaining on the rock scene.
Even so, their recent show of support for their country and not so subtle commentary on Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand for the national anthem might not have been expected.
The video below is hard to understand at times, so here in part is what lead singer Paul Stanley had to say:
“You should remember, patriotism is always cool. Loving your country is always cool. Standing up, respecting and honoring our military is always cool. So, to show some respect between pick-throwing, we’re going to put our right hands over our hearts and why don’t we say the Pledge of Allegiance.”
